What type of media product did you produce and what was it for? How did you distribute it?
We produced a short film of 90 seconds on a website called https://www.depict.org/.

Requirements for any production-i.e., what will the money be spent on?
cameras and equipment, sound equipment, props that will be used in the film/ video, areas bought or rented out so that the crew can film, people that will be staring or being shown in the film will get a cut for there work in the film, special effects or computer work that has to be added into the film
Requirements (cont'd)
For our depict project we had to obtain a 90 second video of whatever our group had thought of, filming the video, adding sound and effects to the video and editing the video for it to be published to the colleges YouTube channel.
Personnel: Talent (actors) and crew (the production team) that work in a media production.
- low budget film will have little or no funding put into it, low budget filming is most common with first time filmmakers as it shows what talent they can produce, the crew and film set for for small projects like these can be scarce so makeup artists, film crew members, producers and even the directer have to multi task in order to help with the production of the film, an example of a low budget film is the Blair witch project filmed in 1999.
- A television programme can be filmed many genres such as a documentary's, horror, comedy, si-fi and drama, depending on how well the programmes views are on its certain channel it can bring in more money for the station that its being aired on, to make and set up a TV programme certain people are needed for certain jobs in the production of a TV show, a few of them can be a Director, Make-up artist, Production designer, Researcher, Writer and Screenwriter, just these few people help and are important with the creation of the show.
- Hollywood feature films can take a while to fully plan out, film then edit, with big film makers like Warner Bros, 20th Century Fox and Walt Disney studios that put so much money into there work theirs also a lot of everything going on, there will be really big film crew teams working on certain subjects while film making, camera operators, lighting, props and costume and editing, every actor has there own little team that helps out with getting them ready for a scene they have to be in, this could be makeup or costume fitting, every person is paid for with the amount the production company has given out.
Explain how you allow allocated work in your very small group. Who performed what role? did they have any experience of hat role before?
there were 2 main actors in our video were Dalton and Will, we had never played as superheros before this short film and the behind the scenes crew were Megan and Sydney, we all had to help out with planning out what our video would be about and to list out our locations to shoot at, all in all everyone was doing different jobs to help with the build up to our small film.

This website here offers a large amount of content for film makers, i looked for the most expensive priced cameras i could find online as with price comes the quality and that makes the movie better.
What equipment was available to you and your group?
we were given a camera, recorder, a boom mic at one point, headphones to record the sound, outfits, available rooms to film in.
most of the props and equipment was obtained from the collage i few items were from other peoples homes that were in our groups.
Location- where did you film, how did you get that location?
Location recces- is a piece of paper yo right your location ideas on so you have a plan on where to go and what shot is being filmed on that location.

Location releases- is a signed piece of paper that grants the person access to that owners land so they are able to film on it.

how and why did you pick specific locations for your depict video?
our main locations were outside, a science lab and in the classroom, the reason why we chose these locations is because they had something to do with what was happening in the clip, the hero tried to climb a wall outside, he also tried to use mind powers in the science lap and the class room was used as a bedroom and hospital because if its bland wall we could use that to our advantage.
what logistical issues and risks did you face?
we firstly wanted to shoot a scene where a dummy was thrown off a building but because of health and safety rules that wasn't possible, for a few days we tried to book a room that we couldn't find the owner for so while that was going on we filmed other shots instead of that one, for our hospital scene we wanted to film in the medical room but we were not allowed access to the room but instead we used the classroom with its pale wall and a makeshift bed.
